Outsourcing your photo editing??
At a recent gathering of photographers, one of them made the comment ‘I can’t stay up until 2am editing photos anymore! So, let’s talk about outsourcing your photo editing.
Options for their digital image editing needs:
- Option 1 allows clients to upload their files via Dropbox or FTP and download them once they are completed.
- Option 2 allows clients to send in a CD of their images and receive a CD back with the converted images.
OPTION ONE: Upload Images using Dropbox or FTP (batch upload)
Upload your images to a Dropbox location or through FTP and download them once they are completed. No minimums or maximums. Prices are per image.
RAW to JPEG: TIFF format is available upon request
Payment: Pay by PayPal or EFT once you have uploaded your images
*If you want to receive your finished job on CD/DVD there is an additional burning and shipping fee. Costs vary depending on size of job and shipping location.
You can also contact us and we will set up a shared folder for you in our system (As an FTP account or Dropbox Share folder) where you can upload and download the images faster and easier.
OPTION TWO: Mail in Images on CD
Mail us your CD with a minimum of 50 images. We will process the order and mail a new CD back to you with the converted images.
RAW to JPEG: TIFF format is available upon request
There is an additional burning and shipping fee where costs will vary depending on size of job and shipping location.
Payment: Pay by PayPal or EFT (electronic transfer).

| Rough editing is the process of evaluating all of the images captured at an event, and selecting those which will be delivered to your client. This service is priced based on the total original number of images. The photographer may provide Lavalu with the target number or range of images they would like the shoot to ultimately reach. Artistic editing involves any process that would normally be done in Photoshop to enhance an image prior to client delivery, including, but not limited to, black and white conversions, sepia conversions, retouching, burning and dodging, and any other special effects. We allocate our artistic editing time according to your preferences. Typically those conversions that can be batch processed are done first, followed by facial retouching of key images. Remaining time may be spent applying special effects, removing distracting elements, swapping eyes in group photos, etc. Most of our clients who deliver “finished” proofs to their clients usually request from 3 to 5 hours of artistic editing, depending on the size of the wedding. Portrait photographers typically enhance their photos with one to two hours of artistic editing. | Any cropping requested during color correction will be billed at our cropping rate of $.10 per image. | Proofing $30 flat fee + $0.20 per imageWe will order your proofs for you at our partner lab for a fee of $30, which covers prepping and uploading the files, and shipping your printed proofs directly to your door via UPS ground. |
